WE&T Comparable Training Working Group

Minimize
The WE&T Comparable Training Working Group was established in 2016 in response to a request to the WHPA by the IOUs. The mission is to provide further definition to the term “comparable training” which is a term used in the Don Vial Center Report: Workforce Issues and Energy Efficiency Programs: A Plan for California’s Utilities released May 2014.

The report states that in order to participate in an IOU HVAC program, technicians should have a 2 year degree, completion of an apprentice program, or proof of “comparable training and experience.”
