Commercial Installation Field Data Specification Working Group
The Commercial Installation Field Data Specification Working Group is tasked with developing a standardized field data specification for HVAC installation and maintenance programs. This specification will be used to define and standardize field data collected by program contractors, tracked by program implementers and used by program evaluators. Field measurements formalized under this specification are intended to be used for program accomplishment progress and tracking, program impact evaluation, and customer savings calculations. The specification is an important first step toward the development of a standardized approach for establishing field performance measurement protocols to score the level of performance achieved by an installed HVAC system."

- Launch 2017 Working Group and Develop 2017 Implementation Plan.
- Complete and approve a specification to measure and score the performance of installed commercial maintenance and residential installation HVAC systems by 4/30/17.
- Develop formulae and calculations required to quantify a system’s efficiency sufficiently to allow accurate projection of annual energy usage.
- Develop simple test protocols and procedures to support an HVAC system performance assessment process that could be effectively utilized by HVAC and EM&V professionals in the field to measure and score the performance of installed HVAC systems.
