The Western HVAC Performance Alliance is an advisory group formed at the direction of the California Long Term Energy Efficiency Strategic Plan specifically to provide the California Investor Owned Utilities with expert counsel from the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industry.

Membership in the Performance Alliance is at the company level, and is designated in one of the organizational participant categories.  Each Alliance participant represents his or her firm or organization as a general member, or as a participant on a committee or subcommittee of the Performance Alliance. Members  meet and work with a broad set of HVAC experts representing all aspects of the industry, together tackling the issues and the opportunities surrounding energy efficiency.

The Performance Alliance is a volunteer organization, with professionals in the HVAC community providing their time and expertise.  

Through the Performance Alliance, all facets of the HVAC industry have the chance to directly impact the future of HVAC in California and the shape of energy efficiency programs for years to come.

Initial administrative support of the Performance Alliance is provided by Pacific Gas & Electric, San Diego Gas & Electric, and Southern California Gas Company and is funded by California ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utility Commission.
